Wiper MPs are set to join Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna in Kakamega for the Linda Mwananchi tour, a political drive linked to the ODM party. The meeting will take place in Kakamega town on February 21, 2026, starting at 11.00am.

The visit signals growing cooperation between leaders from Wiper and ODM. The leaders plan to rally support for the Linda Mwananchi wing, which focuses on grassroots mobilisation and public engagement. The tour has been moving across different regions as the opposition seeks to strengthen its base.

Several Members of Parliament are expected to attend. Among them is Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, who has been active in party mobilisation efforts. The event will bring together leaders from different counties, showing a united front ahead of future political contests.

Kakamega has remained an important political ground in western Kenya. Large crowds are expected to attend the rally. Organisers say the meeting will focus on issues affecting ordinary citizens, including the high cost of living, youth unemployment, and access to public services.

The leaders are also expected to outline their vision for the country and explain the goals of the Linda Mwananchi movement. The campaign aims to connect with voters at the grassroots level and build stronger party structures across counties.

Security agencies are likely to be present to ensure order during the gathering. Political rallies in the region often draw large numbers, and local authorities usually work closely with organisers to manage traffic and crowd control.
