The driver who transported the killer who shot MP Charles Were has broken the silence and revealed the total amount of money he received immediately after the mission.

The driver has claimed that his vehicle was captured in the crime scene after the killer asked him to take him there.

He has also added that he was paid Ksh 80000 to transport the killer.

Also, police officers are working extra hard to determine what really happened and who was behind the killing of the late MP.

The killers also, yesterday, appeared in court, and they were detained for more days to help police officers to finish investigations.

IG Kanja has confirmed the incident and revealed that the exhibits collected will be used in the investigation.

“Other exhibits collected at the initial stages of the investigation include surveillance footage capturing critical moments before and after the murder, identification of a vehicle used to transport the suspects to the crime scene and financial proceeds linked to the suspects,” Kanja said.

This just came in after the body of the late Charles Were arrived home yesterday for the burial ceremony.

After the body arrived at the airstrip, it was put into a Range Rover limousine which was also decorated with flowers.

The family and other prominent leaders from the region were present when the body of the late MP Charles Were arrived in Homa Bay.
