Dennis Itumbi, the Head of Creative and Digital Economy at the Office of the President, has this evening broken the silence, amid rumours and claims that the government had postponed the Mashujaa Day fete to mourn the passing of an Enigma, Baba.
Through his official and verified X handle, Itumbi has, however, told Kenyans that preparations for the event are on top gear. He has indicated that already, a contingent of police officers is preparing for the day at Ithookwe Stadium in Kitui.

Also, Itumbi did say that the preparations had incorporated the mourning of the late ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga, describing his death as a shadow that has fallen on Kenya.
“A shadow has fallen upon us with the passing of Raila Odinga. He was, and will forever remain, a SHUJAA. Because of him, and others who came before, we press on with preparations for Mashujaa Day 2025 in Kitui. The flame of heroism still burns bright.
“A century from now, Raila Odinga will still be remembered for his courage, his convictions, and his enduring contribution to our democracy and our nation,” Dennis Itumbi wrote on X.
