As Sabasaba protest rocks the streets, the officers from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) storms Jimi Wanjigi’s home.

Businessman and former presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi today claimed that officers from the DCI were sent to his residence in Muthaiga.

Wanjigi, who is a prominent critic of President William Ruto’s administration, released CCTV footage that allegedly shows DCI vehicles.

In the footage, two vehicles, a white Subaru Outback and a grey pick-up truck were parked outside his gate.

It is strange that both vehicles displayed civilian license plates instead of official government ones.

Wanjigi used social media to share the footage, contending that the presence of the supposed detectives at his home on Saba Saba Day represented an act of intimidation by the government.

The timing of this alleged surveillance aligns with the historic day, which is characterized by increased political activity and protests nationwide.

Wanjigi, along with his family, expressed confusion and concern regarding the unexpected police presence, questioning their motives and the legality of their actions.
