A daylight drama has been witnessed in a village in Bomet County after residents raided a house belonging to a young man identified as Brian.

Reports indicate that angry villagers stormed his home and allegedly found him with a minor, a student at Kamungei Mixed Boarding School.

It is said that the girl had been in the house for two days.

During the raid, residents also discovered a school uniform hidden under the bed, raising more questions about the nature of their stay.

According to preliminary findings, the girl had been sent home to collect school fees but instead chose to visit her 22-year-old boyfriend.

The two were immediately taken to the nearby police station, where officers launched investigations to establish what really happened.

The minor was also escorted to a hospital for a medical examination as part of the ongoing probe.

This incident adds to the rising number of cases in which young men have been arrested for engaging in relationships with underage girls.

Many of those convicted have been sentenced and are currently serving jail terms.

Authorities and community leaders have continued to express concern, warning that such situations not only break the law but also contribute to teenage pregnancies and school dropouts among young girls.

Parents and guardians are being urged to remain vigilant and guide their children, while young men are reminded to avoid any involvement with minors.

Protecting the future of children, especially girls, should be a shared responsibility across families and society.
