Former Citizen TV news anchor Waihiga Mwaura has opened up about his fatherhood journey, and revealed some little-known about how he is usually a present dad to his son.
The award-winning journalist, who is now working at the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), is actually so responsible that he usually creates time to spend with the young one.
Waihiga Mwaura actually disclosed this on Monday, the 6th of April, where he shared a never-seen-before photo of himself bonding with his son while at some outdoor setting.
From the photo, it was clear that the media personality was having a candid and quiet moment of interaction with the young one while at the location that is yet to be disclosed.
Waihiga Mwaura then accompanied the photo with a caption of him gushing over the moment, by saying;
“We aren’t called to shine our own light, we are called to reflect HIS”.
How old is Waihiga Mwaura’s son?
It should be noted that Waihiga Mwaura’s and Joyce Omondi’s son is currently slightly over two-years-old.
The lovebirds actually welcomed the young one to the world in 2024, but they kept the big news as a secret until December 2025, when Waihiga Mwaura decided to break it publicly.
The baby boy is actually the first child that Waihiga Mwaura has sired with Joyce Omondi in the more than 5 years that they have been married.
