Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo’s ex-wife, Caroline Kittony Waiyaki, has been mourning the death of her daughter, Lorraine Jelagat Jirongo.
Caroline described how her daughter fell ill while in India for medical treatment. According to the distressed mother, her daughter asked about her health and how she was doing with her therapy during their most recent conversation.

Jelagat’s family attended a funeral mass at AIC Milimani. According to her mother, reading the tribute she had written was one of the most painful things she had to do.

The doctors once predicted that either she or I would live, but thank God, we both made it out alive. Caroline remarked, “I had given birth at eight months, so even though she was the smallest brown baby I had ever seen, she had the biggest eyes when I finally laid eyes on her.”
Her mother claims that Jelagat had lofty goals and delighted in pursuing them. She looked up the condition her mother had been diagnosed with in 2024 and made an effort to assist in any manner she could.
According to her mother, she was a passionate dancer who once performed in Naivasha on Kittony’s birthday.
