The Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba is among leaders from the National government, and who are attending the burial of the late media star Catherine Kasavuli in Vihiga County.

Kasavuli died of cancer late last month while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, and Namwamba was among the leaders who had visited her.

While paying his last tributes, Namwamba said since he visited the Former KBC journalist at her ward in KNH to what has happened since she died, he had learnt that the unit of the family should be given the first priority.

“I visited Catherine at her ward in KNH on December 3rd, and up to now, I have learnt a lot, but the main thing is take care of your family. When I visited her, I found her family there led by Martin, Allan, Elizabeth. Take care of your family good people and be close to them.”

“I want to thank Catherine’s family because I have seen how they have rallied by her side as she battled the cancer monster. Thank you Martin, you an amazing son.”

Namwamba went on to say that Catherine took the sense of humor, humility and charisma from her mother Rachel Kasavuli, and who was present during the burial event.

Other leaders who paid their tributes include the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula, the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and the Narc-Kenya boss Martha Karua.
