Since American billionaire Todd Boehly took over the ownership of Chelsea under the Todd Boehly/Clearlake Capital consortium, there has been numerous changes at the club. Several members of the staff who had been appointed under the previous ownership of Roman Abramovic have left the London based club.
The latest staff members to leave the club are the long serving groundsman Jason Griffin alongside his son who has been his assistant Reisse Griffin.
While at Chelsea, Jason and his son were responsible for looking after the club’s playing surfaces and grounds at Stamford Bridge, the Cobham training ground and Kingsmeadow.
Jason has been working at Chelsea for a period of over 30 years and he was appointed for the role of head groundsman back in 2003. On the other hand, Reisse has been his assistant for a period of over 10 years.
As per the Daily Mail newspaper, the club has however not disclosed the reasons behind parting ways with the duo.
