A close associate of the late Tabuga, PCEA pastor Julius Ndumia, has claimed that the clergyman had repeatedly voiced fears about his safety before his tragic death.
According to the associate, Pastor Ndumia spent his final days living in fear, reportedly due to ongoing leadership wrangles within the church.
Following the killing, fellow cleric Robert Waihenya revealed that many ministers are now feeling unsafe and are questioning whether the murder was connected to internal church disputes or carried out by external attackers.
Pastor Julius Ndumia was attacked at his home inside the church compound in Lanet, Nakuru, on the night of Sunday, May 3, 2026, by unknown armed assailants. Investigators believe he may have been struck with a sharp weapon, possibly an axe, as his body reportedly had a deep neck wound.
During the incident, the attackers also assaulted and tortured the church watchman before escaping. They reportedly ransacked both the pastor’s residence and his office, but despite conducting an extensive search, nothing was stolen, leaving investigators uncertain about the motive behind the attack.
