Renowned comedian and content creator Henry Desagu is reportedly struggling with depression and alcohol addiction, with his condition worsening in recent weeks.

Concerns arose after his close friend, Mo Farm, shared distressing images of Desagu appearing intoxicated and disoriented.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Mo Farm expressed deep concern for the comedian, writing, “May God help Henry Desagu. It’s painful to see my friend down and suffering.” The images showed Desagu in a distressed state, with Mo Farm assisting him into a car.

Following the revelation, a fundraising campaign was launched to support Desagu’s recovery.

The initiative is being spearheaded by influential public figures, including Mugithi star Samidoh, Gatundu North MP Njoroge Kururia, and State House advisor Moses Kuria. The goal is to raise KSh 1 million to cover Desagu’s medical and rehabilitation expenses.

MP Kururia urged Kenyans to rally behind Desagu, emphasizing the comedian’s contribution to bringing joy to many.

“We will not watch as this great boychild, Henry Desagu, is brought down by depression. We will pray for his recovery and ensure he gets quality medical care,” he stated.

So far, KSh 840,000 has been raised, with notable contributions from Moses Kuria, Dama Spares, and Dennis Itumbi. Reports indicate that Desagu has been hospitalized at Mathari Hospital due to his deteriorating condition.

The fundraiser continues as friends, fans, and well-wishers join hands to help Desagu reclaim his health and career. His supporters remain hopeful that with proper medical care and rehabilitation, he will make a full recovery and return to entertaining audiences once again.
