Kenyan content creator and club host Ciggie Johnson has spoken about his decision to distance himself from a child he had raised for 12 years after a DNA test showed he was not the biological father.
Ciggie made the remarks while appearing on Oga Obinna’s show, where he discussed the emotional impact of the DNA results and his relationship with the child.
During the conversation, Ciggie expressed strong emotions about the situation and said he did not intend to continue being part of the child’s life.
“I am not going to be part of that child’s life, I can’t stand her existence,” he said during the discussion.
The remarks came days after Ciggie revealed that a DNA test had excluded him as the biological father of the 12-year-old girl.
In the earlier video that sparked the controversy, Ciggie spoke to the child’s mother on the phone about the results. He said he had supported the girl since birth, including paying school fees and rent.
The revelation has generated widespread discussion among Kenyans, with some people urging Ciggie to maintain his relationship with the child despite the DNA results.
Radio presenter Alex Mwakideu advised Ciggie to separate his relationship with the child from the disagreement involving the adults. He argued that the girl should not be held responsible for decisions made by adults.
Comedian Terence Creative also urged Ciggie not to walk away from the child, arguing that fatherhood can extend beyond biological ties.
The debate has continued to attract attention online, with Kenyans offering different views on paternity, fatherhood and the emotional consequences of DNA revelations.
The specific remarks made by Ciggie on Obinna’s show should be understood in the context of his discussion about the DNA results and his personal reaction to the situation.
