American singer Chris Brown has reportedly been charged in connection with an alleged assault that took place at a nightclub in central London in February 2023.
According to a report by The Star, the Metropolitan Police have charged the 36-year-old artist with grievous bodily harm with intent. The charge stems from an incident that is said to have occurred on February 19, 2023, at a venue in central London.
The report indicates that Chris Brown was arrested at a hotel in Manchester in the early hours of Thursday. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Adele Kelly, the deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS London North, confirmed that the charge had been authorized and emphasized that Mr. Brown has the right to a fair trial.
The R&B singer had reportedly arrived in Manchester on a private jet on Wednesday afternoon. He is currently on tour and has several scheduled shows in the UK in June and July.
