Upcoming female Mugithi artist, Wanja Asali celebrates his son’s birthday today.”Happy birthday son I hope this day brings you the same sweetness you brought into my life” Wanja Asali wrote on her Facebook page. It’s her firstborn son. “As a proud mother I would ask God to protect you, my son, I love you more than you think” She added.
Rachael Wanja alias “Wanja Asali “is a famous Kikuyu secular artist was born and raised in Kiambu county and that is why she refers to herself as the daughter of Kiambu county or ” Mtoto Wa Kiambu”.
In one of Wanja’s interviews at Kururia Tv, she said that she started as a gospel artist back in 2010 but she did not make it despite her having a recorded song and compact disc that she intended to sell.
Wanja said that she decided to start singing secular because Church failed her because they were not even promoting her by even buying her songs, thus she decided to sing secular songs and in turn, they are paying her well she is now famous.
