Freelance academic writer Cessy Gaitho was laid to rest in an emotional send off yesterday at her parents’ home at Kwa Haraka, South Kinangop.
She was burried next to the grave of her 7 year old son.
The burial was attended by her close friends, family members and colleagues in the writing industry who all mourned her as a person who was always kind and jovial.
Cessy Gaitho is reported to have died 51 days after her son died of internal bleeding after being hit by debris from a culvert as he was playing with his mates.
She got depressed after her son’s burial because of the strong bond that they shared when he was alive. Her friends upon noting that she was not okay paid her a visit at Kinangop not knowing that she would die that night.
Investigations into the death are still going on. Results of the postmoterm examination were not shared with the public.
