Celine Dion and her three children marked the 10th anniversary of her late husband, René Angélil’s, passing with a touching post.

The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer and her sons, 24-year-old René-Charles Angélil, and 15-year-old twins Nelson Angélil and Eddy Angélil, reflected on what life has been like without the music producer.

“Mon amour, ten years without you feels like just a day, and yet each day feels like a decade,” they wrote in the joint message.

The post included a snap of a black piano with a picture of René on it.

“Ten years without your caress, and yet every day I feel your touch…We miss you more than we can bear, but you taught us to be strong. We love you more, every day and every year.”

René passed away on 14 January 2016 after a battle with throat cancer. He was 73.

“René wanted to die in my arms but, alas, I was singing that night,” the singer said shortly after his death. She also revealed that he fell out of bed on the night he died.

“Normally, after my show when he had taken his last medications, I gave him a kiss, tucked him in and sent him off to sleep. That evening I didn’t want to wake him. It was the nurse who found him the next day. Distraught, she came to find me. I went into the room.”

The couple had been married for almost 22 years when he died. Dion has paid tribute to him ever since. The 57-year-old singer has been coping with her own health challenges.

She was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome in 2022 and has not been on tour ever since.

The neurological disorder, which causes muscle spasms, also affects her vocal cords. She returned to the stage in 2024 for a performance of Edith Piaf’s ‘Hymne à l’amour’ at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.

Dion remains active on social media and is occasionally pictured out and about with her sons.
