Popular Kenyan actor, content creator and filmmaker Abel Mutua alias Mkurugenzi, has opened up about his life and revealed to the world that he is currently not registered as a voter.
According to the former Tahidi High actor, he was previously registered as a voter because his details were in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) portal.
However after the recent maintenance exercise that was done by the electoral body, his registration details have suddenly disappeared from the portal.
Abel Mutua, who has been a supporter of the ongoing anti-government demos on his Instagram account, disclosed the shocking details in a post that he recently made on his stories.
The talented filmmaker actually took part in an Instagram trend, where various Instagram users were sharing screenshots of their details that are currently in the IEBC portal.
They did so to confirm that they are indeed currently voters and that they will vote in the 2027 general elections.
When Abel Mutua shared a screenshot that he got from the IEBC portal however, what was clear that his details were not found.
He was further advised to visit his IEBC costituency office to solve the issue of he had previously been registered.
This incident however shocked Abel Mutua to the extent that he wondered whether he was among the ghost voters who were in the system.
“Ni kama I’m among the ‘Ghost Voters’ removed from the system 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣” Abel Mutua said
