Losing parents at a tender age can be traumatizing.

At some point, he had to be taken in by Mully Children’s home, where he stayed until he attained 18 years.
It is while there that he met his ex-wife and mother to his two daughters.

Kevin Mbuvi also grew up at a children’s home (ABC Orphanage in Mathare) after losing his mum at a tender age.
Speaking about the loss, Bahati said he felt like the world had come to an end after the demise of his mum.
At the time his dad was also not well off so they were living from hand to mouth.
