Celebrated Kenyan singer Juliet Miriam Ayub alias Jovial has opened up how she recently got robbed in Nairobi.

This was in one of her posts on her insta stories, where the sassy ‘Jeraha’ hit maker disclosed that incident left her with minor injuries.

According to Jovial the robbery incident happened on Thursday.

On that day she was alone when going to her stylist, and this was different because on other days when she is usually accompanied by her manager Steve Biko.

So it happened that the singer later called for cab to pick her up, and as they went with they driver, a thug attacked them at Chiromo Lane.

Jovial infact blamed the cab driver for not locking the car, because the thief just opened the door of the cab, slapped her and took her phone away.

The ‘Such Kinda Love’ hit maker disclosed that it all happened when she was just eating her food in the car, and she screamed so loudly in disbelief.

“So I usually move around with my boys @stevebikoless and @rigozil but jana nikasema wacha nikimbie tu solo kwa stylist, nichukue manguo nikimalizia na studio session.

After I was done with the fitting nikaomba they order a cab for me. Mimi huyo mbio na biryani yangu take away baada yakununuliwa na crush.

Tukafika Chiromo Lane kijiko cha kwanza mdomoni naskia bare (kofi). Chakula juu ya kichwa, kuku kwenye seats, simu nayo gone. Btw I didn’t know nakuaga na nduru hivyo!

Mbona kama driver usilock gari? Mwizi anafungua aje mlango aibe simu ya mteja? Yaani sio ati kioo iko chini nope!…” she wrote in part.

Jovial’s disclosure about being robbed comes at a time when the cases for robberies in Nairobi have been on the rise.

However the government has not taken the matter lightly. Just a month ago, the CS for Interior Kithure Kindiki said that the government was aware of the public outcry.

He further made it clear that the government would crack down on the gangs of muggers, and said that a new police team would be deployed to the city to deal with them.
