Kenyan content creator Carol Muthoni Ngethe, popularly known as Sonnie, has opened up about the kind of relationship she would be willing to commit to, revealing one condition that could make her walk away from a potential marriage.
Sonnie said she would find it difficult to marry a man who has children with more than two different women.
Speaking in a video shared on Monday, September 28, 2026, the mother of one questioned why a man would continue having children with different women without reflecting on the breakdown of his previous relationships.
According to Sonnie, she might be willing to accept a partner who has had children with one or two women, but she would draw the line at a third baby mama.
“Someone that has more than two baby mamas, me, I cannot handle; that is a deal breaker for me,” Sonnie said.
She added that while she could understand a first or second situation, she would question what had happened when a man reached a third relationship resulting in another child.
Her comments have offered a glimpse into how she views marriage and the factors she would consider before making such a major commitment.
Sonnie also gave an update on her current love life, rating her relationship at seven out of 10.
She explained that she had deducted three points because relationships naturally come with challenges, although she maintained that things were progressing.
“Currently I would give myself a 7. Hiyo 3 naitoa kwa sababu changamoto zina kuwanga kwa mapenzi, but we are trying. Seven is a good one,” she said.
The content creator has previously spoken about her relationship and how her partner has interacted with her family situation.
In an earlier interview, Sonnie said her boyfriend encouraged her to become more open to allowing comedian David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah, to spend time with their daughter.
Sonnie and Mulamwah share a daughter, and their co-parenting relationship has previously attracted public attention.
She said she had initially been hesitant about allowing Mulamwah more time with their child, but her partner helped her reconsider the situation.
Her relationship has also featured in some of her social media moments, including an emotional birthday surprise organised by her boyfriend.
The surprise left Sonnie visibly emotional and provided another glimpse into the relationship she has largely discussed with her followers.
Her latest remarks, however, focused less on her current partner and more on the standards she would apply when considering marriage.
For Sonnie, the number of previous relationships that resulted in children is an important consideration when deciding whether a potential partner is suitable for marriage.

For now, Sonnie says she is comfortable with where her own relationship stands, giving it a seven out of 10 despite acknowledging that, like other relationships, it comes with its share of challenges.
