Mukurwe-ini MP, John Kaguchia, has commended the police for arresting a man who is suspected to have killed Jane Wanjiru Mutahi and thrown her into a well from Ithanji Village, Thimu sublocation in Gikondi, Mukurwe-ini, in January 2025.
According to reports, the deceased disappeared on December 31, 2024.
Her body was discovered in a well on January 1, 2025.
MP John, who took to Facebook to confirm this news, said that the suspect was arrested and is awaiting prosecution by Mukurwe-ini Police.
“This guy has been on the run for the last 12 months. I want to commend Mukurwe-ini Police for this arrest as this helps us to inch closer in resolving yet another murder case targeting women in Mukurwe-ini”.
The MP urged the police to work extra hard to apprehend the other suspects on the run in a few other femicide cases and murder cases.
Kenyans who also took to social media platforms to speak on this sent their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
