Police in Lang’ata, Nairobi, have launched investigations after the body of a man was found lying beside the Southern Bypass near the National Housing Corporation (NHC).
The body was discovered at about 7:20am on Sunday, September 20, 2026, by a Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) employee who was monitoring street lighting along the bypass.
Police officers who responded to the scene found the body of an unidentified middle-aged African man lying in a prone position.
Police reported that the man had two visible injuries to the head, raising suspicion that he may have been murdered.
During processing of the scene, officers recovered an identification card bearing the name Evans Moruri Omariba.
Crime Scene Investigation officers documented and processed the scene before the body was moved to the City Mortuary for preservation and identification.
A postmortem examination is expected to establish the cause of death as detectives continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspected murder.
Elsewhere, police in Kahawa West, Nairobi, are investigating the death of an unidentified middle-aged man whose body was found lying by the roadside near a church.
The man, believed to be about 30 years old, was found dead on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Police officers who responded to the scene found the unidentified man lying on his back in a supine position.
The scene was processed by Crime Scene Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kasarani.
The body was subsequently removed and taken to the City Mortuary, where it is being preserved pending a postmortem examination and identification.
Police have launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and identify him.
And a19-year-old man who had been receiving treatment at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital after sustaining serious assault injuries has died.
David Bongonko Nyariki, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Following his death, police at Kegogi Police Station in Marani Sub-County have classified the case as a murder incident.
The body was moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for preservation pending a postmortem examination.
Police are expected to continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the assault that led to Nyariki’s death.
