Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine has claimed that his life is in danger after receiving threats from General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of President Yoweri Museveni.In a series of posts on social media, Bobi Wine revealed that his home is under surveillance by unknown armed men in civilian clothes. He directly blamed Museveni and his son for any harm that might come to him.

 

 

 

“Whatever happens to me, Museveni and his son are responsible. My home is being patrolled by strange men who appear to be armed,” he stated.Bobi Wine also claimed that his party headquarters were being raided, with several of his supporters abducted by state operatives. Despite the threats, he insisted that he would not be intimidated.

 

General Muhoozi, known for his controversial social media posts, allegedly threatened to kill anyone wearing the colors of Bobi Wine’s party, the National Unity Platform. His remarks have sparked outrage among opposition supporters.

 

Bobi Wine shared screenshots of Muhoozi’s tweets, warning that these were not just words but real threats backed by power. He argued that the recent abductions and attacks on opposition figures were proof that the regime was acting on these threats.He called on the international community to take note of Uganda’s deteriorating political situation, describing the government as desperate and dangerous.

 

“As we continue to mobilize, the world must not ignore what is happening in Uganda. The rogue regime is completely out of control,” he declared.Bobi Wine has long been a vocal critic of Museveni’s government, accusing it of corruption and human rights abuses. His latest accusations add to rising tensions in Uganda, where opposition figures frequently report harassment and unlawful detentions.
