Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza, popularly known as Bien, has taken the top spot on Apple Music’s Top 100 chart in Kenya with his latest song, I’ll Be Okay.
The song pushed Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake’s Forgiveness to second place, while Gratitude ranked third, according to the chart positions reported on October 14.
Bien’s latest achievement adds to his progress as a solo artist following years of success with Sauti Sol, the Kenyan band known for its popular music and live performances.
His song’s position at the top of the chart places him ahead of Asake, who maintains a strong presence in the Kenyan rankings with two tracks in the top three.
The rankings also highlight the mix of Kenyan and Nigerian music attracting listeners in the country. While Bien leads the chart, Asake’s two entries show that his music continues to draw attention from Kenyan audiences.
Apple Music rankings can change as listening trends shift, so the positions may vary over time.
For Bien, reaching number one offers another milestone in his solo career and gives his latest release greater visibility among streaming audiences.
