Betty Bayo’s widower, Hiram “Tash” Gitau, was visibly emotional after his late wife’s children, Sky and Danny, surprised him with a bouquet of red roses and a touching handwritten message.
The heartwarming moment was captured in a TikTok video shared by Tash’s friend Frank Mash on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
In the video, Tash is seen arriving at his home before noticing a bouquet of roses and a small handwritten note waiting for him at the entrance.
Curious about the surprise, he walked towards the flowers and knelt down to pick them up. He then noticed that the note had been addressed to him as “Dad.”
The message revealed that Sky and Danny had seen the flowers at a shop and decided to buy them specifically for Tash as a way of showing their appreciation.
“Dad, I and Danny saw flowers in the shop and decided to buy them for you,” the children wrote.
They went on to thank Tash for being a good father and encouraged him to remain strong.
“Thank you for being a good dad. Stay strong. From Danny and Sky,” the note concluded.
The thoughtful gesture appeared to touch Tash deeply as he took time to read the message.
Turning towards the camera, he expressed his surprise and decided to share the children’s words with those watching.
“Wow, these kids. Have you seen what Danny and Sky have written me? Let me read for you,” he said.
Tash then read the note aloud before admiring the bouquet and commenting on its pleasant fragrance.
“And these flowers are smelling so well,” he added.
