Popular Kenyan content creator and mother of one, Ruth K, is facing one of the most painful chapters of her life public humiliation, family estrangement, and emotional breakdown after her former partner and fellow content creator, Mulamwah, allegedly leaked her intimate content.

In a heart wrenching confession posted on her YouTube channel, Ruth opened up about the emotional wreckage caused by the scandal and how it shattered her relationship with her father and damaged her mental health.

Ruth K, who was in a high profile relationship with Mulamwah for nearly four years, broke down in tears as she narrated how the adult content, once shared in private between lovers, was weaponized and distributed widely allegedly even to members of her own family.

In a particularly distressing moment, Ruth claimed that the explicit video was sent to her father, causing a rift that has yet to heal.

“I sent him a message immediately to explain myself, but he only blue-ticked me. He hasn’t said a word to me since,” Ruth tearfully revealed.

The scandal unfolded after a bitter online feud between the ex-lovers.

While Mulamwah denied leaking any explicit content, dismissing the claim by saying he had only shared Bible verses, Ruth presented screenshots and specific names of recipients who allegedly received the content directly from Mulamwah.

Ruth’s distress was compounded by the fact that some of the images were posted on a social media account managed by Mulamwah for their son, an act she described as deeply violating.

She also accused him of hacking her old Facebook account and using it to further spread the content and tarnish her image.

But the emotional scars run deeper than public shame.

Ruth says her mother had to sleep at the airport in a rush to be by her side after the scandal broke.

Her family, while shaken, has stood by her except her father, whose silence cuts the deepest.

“He took Mulamwah like a son. I don’t understand why he would disrespect my family like that,” she added.

Ruth expressed deep regret over ever trusting Mulamwah with her private moments, cautioning young women about the dangers of sharing intimate content even in love.

“When people are in love, they do a lot. I hope people learn from what happened to me. It’s painful, but I have to keep moving,” she said.

Amid the chaos, Ruth thanked her fans, friends, and brand partners for showing unwavering support.

She noted that encouraging messages from fans have helped keep her afloat, and that she’s focusing on being strong for her son.

The controversy took another turn when Mulamwah accused Ruth of being the reason for his breakup with Carol Sonnie, with whom he shares another child.

He issued a public apology to Sonnie and blamed Ruth for “misleading him.”

Ruth, however, dismissed the blame game, saying Mulamwah was attempting to deflect responsibility.

“He dumped Carol when she was three months pregnant. I had nothing to do with their issues,” she said.

The scandal has reopened national conversations about digital consent, revenge porn, and emotional abuse in relationships, particularly within Kenya’s influencer circles.

Ruth’s case is a painful reminder of how quickly love can turn toxic and how women often bear the brunt of shame while the perpetrators evade accountability.

As Ruth fights to reclaim her dignity, her story has become a rallying cry for justice and mental wellness support for victims of digital abuse.

Through tears and strength, she is choosing to speak up, not just for herself, but for the many others silenced by fear and stigma.
