Beautiful photos of a Kenyan woman who reportedly died in Dubai have surfaced online, sparking fresh waves of grief, shock, and unanswered questions among Kenyans both at home and abroad.

The woman has been identified as Joyce Wanjiku, a native of Kitale in Trans Nzoia County, whose death occurred under unclear and troubling circumstances.

According to initial reports, Joyce allegedly jumped from a building in Dubai, where she had traveled to seek employment and better opportunities.

However, the exact details surrounding her death remain unclear, and those who knew her closely are finding it difficult to accept the suicide narrative being circulated.

The photos now circulating on social media show Joyce as a vibrant, happy, and confident young woman.

In the images, she is seen smiling, well-dressed, and full of life—pictures that sharply contrast with the tragic news of her sudden death.

Many Kenyans who have seen the photos have expressed disbelief, saying Joyce did not appear like someone who was battling despair.

One of her close friends, Miriam Rotich, has openly questioned the circumstances surrounding Joyce’s death.

Miriam described Joyce as a lively, loving, and deeply religious person who was committed to her Christian faith.

She noted that Joyce regularly attended church and strongly believed in the power of prayer. According to Miriam, Joyce was optimistic about life and excited about her future plans abroad.

In an emotional message, Miriam said she does not believe Joyce would have taken her own life. She suggested that there could be more to the incident than what has been reported so far.

“I refuse to believe that you went to Dubai just to commit suicide instead of working,” Miriam wrote.

“For the longest time I have known you, I want to believe you didn’t jump off that building. Someone must have pushed you.”

Miriam further shared that the news has left her deeply devastated and emotionally broken.

She said she is still struggling to accept Joyce’s death and remains in denial, hoping that the report could be a mistake or a case of mistaken identity.

“The mention of your death is deadly, painful, and devastating,” she wrote. “I still think Mercy will tell us it’s a lie. I am in total denial.”
