Kenyan musician Bahati has attracted attention online after a video showed him handing his wife, Diana Marua, a bundle of cash following a conversation about expenses.

The video, shared on X on September 17, 2026, shows Diana approaching Bahati as he sits inside a white Mercedes SUV at what appears to be a residential compound. Several vehicles can be seen in the background.
During the exchange, Diana lists several expenses she wants covered. They include money for her hair, nails and a new outfit for a planned outing with friends.
She also raises the issue of fuel for their vehicles, saying they were not fully fuelled. Diana explains that she could not access the bank because it was already after 5pm and asks Bahati to provide the money instead.
Bahati initially appears hesitant before eventually producing a thick bundle of KSh1,000 notes and handing it to her. The exact amount of money shown in the bundle was not established from the video.
Diana then thanks her husband and tells him that she loves him. She also says she plans to go out with friends and asks Bahati to pick her up later.
