Earlier, Saida uncovered that Tyrone possessed a gun, while Tinah eavesdropped on a concerning conversation. Realizing they are in imminent danger, Tinah and Asha hurry to prevent what they fear is about to transpire. Their worst fears are confirmed when Tyrone brandishes the gun. Overwhelmed by anger and shame, he expresses his inability to cope with his past and attempts to turn the gun on himself.
In a frantic act, Tinah dashes forward and stands between the two men, pleading with her father to stop. In the ensuing chaos, the gun fires, and Tinah is shot in the chest, collapsing as panic ensues.
