Fear has gripped residents after an armed gang attacked a military camp in a daring night raid and escaped with several firearms and a military Land Cruiser.
According to security reports, the attack happened late at night when heavily armed criminals stormed the camp and overpowered the officers who were on duty. Witnesses said gunshots were heard for several minutes as the attackers exchanged fire with security personnel before managing to break into the armoury section.
During the incident, the gang reportedly stole a number of deadly weapons believed to include rifles and ammunition before fleeing the scene using a military Land Cruiser that was parked inside the camp.
