Media personality and digital content creator Andrew Kibe has once again ignited public debate, this time through a deeply personal and controversial revelation about circumcision.

Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Alex Mwakideu in a video released on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Kibe disclosed that he regrets undergoing circumcision.

“I wish I had my foreskin,” he stated candidly. Known for his blunt and often provocative opinions, the former radio host said the experience has stayed with him and remains a decision he wishes he could reverse.

Kibe’s remarks come barely a month after he publicly advised Kenyan parents to reconsider the long-standing cultural practice of circumcising boys.

During a conversation with radio host Jacquey Nyaminde, popularly known as Wibroda, Kibe argued that circumcision is outdated and no longer serves any meaningful cultural or health purpose.

“I find circumcision as an outdated practice. I think we should stop circumcising our kids right now. There is no meaning behind it anymore, there is no reason, and it has been debunked, and it has no benefits,” Kibe said.

He maintained that the practice, once promoted as a cultural rite or medical necessity, has lost relevance in modern society.

The outspoken commentator further criticised historical narratives that supported circumcision, claiming they were misleading.

“Unajua zamani walikuja wakatudanganya unajua ku circumcise inasaidia hiyo ni uwongo, it was a lie,” he remarked.

Kibe also pointed to societal pressure as a major factor driving the continued practice. He suggested that modern consumer culture and shifting family structures have turned circumcision into a marketed “product,” rather than a necessity.

“There is no reason to circumcise your boys, but society is adjusting to the single woman, the single mother; society is now selling products, and circumcision is one of the products,” he said.

Sharing a personal stance, Kibe revealed that he does not intend to circumcise his own son. He argued that many parents, particularly single mothers, are persuaded by assurances about anaesthesia and reduced pain, despite the procedure being unnecessary.

As expected, his comments have sparked widespread discussion and mixed reactions across social media and beyond.
