An elderly man has been ambushed while bribing voters in Ndutori Primary School in Mbeere North and the Ksh18,000 confiscated.

This incident unfolded while drama erupted, when former Attorney General Justin Muturi was involved in a heated confrontation with a local resident shortly after casting his vote. The incident occured near Siakago Social Hall and followed a separate episode in which Muturi removed an agent representing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Leonard Wa Muthende for wearing the party’s yellow colours inside a polling station.

Muturi explained that the agent, identified as Chinga Ward MCA Kiruga Thuku, violated election regulations prohibiting party colours at polling stations. Speaking to local media, he stressed that election law is clear on appropriate attire for agents and observers.
