President William Ruto’s son George Ruto is taking command in the Matatu industry through his 98 Logistics company that operates a fleet of vehicles in Nairobi’s Central Business District. Within the past week, the President’s son unveiled six more vehicles for his fast growing Matatu business in the capital.
Part of the features that George Ruto’s vehicles is a modern outlook, comfortable seating space and modern music system all which attract the youthful road users. Earlier before the official launch of the vehicles George Ruto visited where they were being modified to check on their progress after which there was a religious ceremony to dedicate and bless them before they hit the roads.
The launch of the vehicles was luxurious and it happened during the night as they had a colorful procession to the central business district attracting onlookers. A Matatu operator has come out to reveal the the amount of money each 33-seater Matatu costs, the vehicle costs Ksh. 6.8M at Isuzu and after modification it goes to approximately Ksh.6.8M. George Ruto is likely to have spent approximately Ksh. 42M.
