Young Nairobi woman claimed Kennedy Rapudo took her on a dinner date and provided a photo to support her claim.

In response, the businessman refuted the charges and gave his side of the story, which contradicted the lady’s claims.

Rapudo submitted screenshots of a text discussion with a woman who was with the person making the claims.

A woman shared a fuzzy photo of herself with Rapudo, claiming the businessman had taken her on a date. “Amber’s husband took me to supper yesterday.

“Evidence kwa kalatas,” the lady added, sharing the image, which was taken discreetly without Rapudo’s awareness.

Rapudo responded by denying the charges and explaining that he had simply assisted a group in parking their car in Lavington.

“I’ve avoided social media. Not because I am unaware of what is being said, but because I have chosen peace over pettiness.

However, silence might allow liars to become more comfortable. So let me be clear: I was putting pressure on my tires yesterday when a group approached me and asked if I could assist them with parking. I assisted based only on basic decency.

Rapudo clarified: “One of them tried to take a selfie, and I politely declined and made it clear I wasn’t interested.”

There is no flirting, exchange, or anything other than helping. And now I’m hearing stories about how I took someone to dinner?

This is the precise reason people withdraw. I’ve tried to be nice, polite, and calm, but when compassion becomes twisted into a story I didn’t write, I close the door.

I will not defend myself again. If assisting people has become a portal for lies, I’ll keep my energies to myself. “From now on, I move differently,” he explained.

He also shared his texts with one of the group members, who had DMed him to express gratitude for his assistance in parking their car.

Rapudo texted the lady who had DMed her about the alleged dinner claims after one of them made them.

As seen in the screenshot, Rapudio inquired, “Who did I take for dinner? You noticed me parking my car and asked if I could help you park yours! Your pals asked for a selfie, but I refused.

” The lady apologized and clarified that she was not the one who made these statements. In her words, “I’m sorry, but this is not me.”

I did not ask for a selfie. I’m the lady sitting in the passenger seat. I suppose the other lady who was taking a selfie with you is lying.”
