In the past few hours or so, controversial Kenyan singer and businesswoman Esther Akoth alias Akothee has caused a stir online.

This is because her choice of clothing when performing at an event in Sweden over the weekend, where she went out with a bold outfit while on stage.

The mother of five infact took to her social media platforms on Monday to give netizens a glimpse of the outfit, and it was a stylish long-sleeved swimsuit that was black in clolour.

When Akothee made the post, she seemingly knew beforehand that she would attract a lot of backlash from netizens.

Therefore she added a disclaimer to the photos saying that no one should consider her as a role model when performing on stage as an artiste.

Akothee responds to the critics
Being one who is known to always speak her mind, Madam Boss has quickly fired back to the people who trolled her because of the outfit.

Taking to her social media platforms, the mother of five infact defended her dressing saying that she was just performing on stage. Therefore people should understand that this is not her normal dress code.

Akothee further boasted of her performance skills while on stage, saying that she had to do it because she trains in the gym on how to dance.

“You see this costume Kenyans will say I am naked, see there are bottles breaking now. The table shaker has done it again in Sweden.

Tell them I don’t go to the gym for nothing. Music is for the eyes sound is for the ears, let them learn between performance costume and dress code.

If they don’t agree let them call the police…” she wrote in part.
