Kenyan musician and businesswoman Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has responded strongly to critics after a video shared by BNN drew attention to her lifestyle and personal choices.
The video showed Akothee in a moment that attracted reactions from some Kenyans online.The discussion quickly shifted from the content of the video to her dressing,relationships and the kind of example she is expected to set as a public figure.
Akothee pushed back against the criticism,making it clear that she does not consider herself a role model for other people and does not live her life based on expectations from the public.
She also addressed comments about her children and personal decisions.The musician maintained that she did not give birth to other people’s children and therefore does not have to change the way she lives simply to make other people comfortable.
