Huruma OCS Robert Mugo is one of the rogue police officers who harassed peaceful demonstrators during the city’s finance bill demonstrations on Tuesday.
The rogue police was seen on tape tackling a young lady and then walking away.
The lady was unarmed and did not engage in aggression.
She was simply using her democratic rights under the Constitution.
She suffered a panic attack and fainted, leading other demonstrators to rush to her aid.
The dishonest police officer was heard stating “Acha akufie hapo” as he walked away, smirking despite his violent deeds.
Kenyans on X have denounced the errant police officer and publicly released his phone information.
In another incident:
Chief Inspector David Maina was one of the Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) personnel who were deployed in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) to quell protests against Finance Bill 2024.
However, following a confrontation with the demonstrators, Inspector Maina blew his hands off with a teargas canister.
He is currently taken to Nairobi West Hospital for treatment after losing his hands.
