In recent months, the country has witnessed a rise in the number of reported road accidents, leaving many people dead and others with serious injuries.
The latest victim of this road carnage is the former Sikhendu Member of County Assembly (MCA), Eric Musumba. According to reports, he passed away while receiving treatment at Cherangany Nursing Home after being involved in a road accident last week.
The accident occurred along the Matunda-Kiminini road when the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with another, where he sustained multiple injuries in the crash.
His family revealed that Musumba underwent a successful surgery, but unfortunately, he later died as a result of high blood pressure complications. He served as the MCA of Sikhendu from 2017 to 2022 under the Ford Kenya party.
While eulogizing the deceased, Kimilili Member of Parliament Maurice Bissau described him as a leader who served his ward with dedication and selflessness.
