Lilian Nganga, the former First Lady of Machakos County, recently shared the emotional journey of her marriage to Alfred Mutua and their eventual separation.
In a candid interview circulating on social media, Lilian revealed that she met Mutua at 25, a time when she was young and thrust into the role of First Lady.
However, as she entered her early 30s, deeper desires for freedom and self-discovery began to surface, leading to tension in their relationship.
Lilian explained that her longing to “be my own person” sparked frequent arguments with Mutua. “When I got into my early 30s, I felt there is more out there. I wanted to break free, not from the relationship, but to explore who I am,” she shared.
These feelings strained their marriage, ultimately leading to their separation in 2021.
Following the separation, Lilian found love with musician Juliani, whose real name is Julius Owino.
She described their relationship as blossoming at the right time, drawn to his intelligence and authenticity.
The couple, now married, welcomed their son in 2022 and continue to build a life together, often sharing glimpses of their happiness on social media.
