North Korea Has Sent 700 Elite Soldiers To Protect 36- Year- Old President Traore

Ibrahim Traoré is a Burkinabè military officer and the current President of Burkina Faso. He came to power through a coup d’état on September 30, 2022, becoming the world’s youngest head of state at the time.

His administration has taken a more nationalist and anti-Western stance, distancing itself from France and increasingly aligning with other Asian nations.

North Korea has declared support for Ibrahim Traoré, despite of Kim’s government rarely been involving itself in African political alliances beyond long-standing ties.

However, for Ibrahim Troare , North Korea has provided military aid to him as the head of the Burkina Faso government.

Given the secretive nature of North Korea and its limited official military engagements outside East Asia, such a move might be very vital for the two nations integration.
