Lawyer Miguna Miguna has slammed president William Ruto’s deal with China in a statement.
Speaking via his official twitter handle, Miguna critisized Ruto’s deals with China on building SGR and dualing Major highways saying majority of population won’t be using the facilities.
According to his statement, a country cannot tax it’s population when majority of the population are unemployed and poor.
“Genuine independent developing countries don’t borrow TRILLIONS to build SGRs, Airports and Dual Carriageways when less than 0.2% of their populations use those infrastructure, more than 75% live in slums, more than 65% are unemployed and more than 85% have no access to electricity, clean running water and healthcare.
You should never tax a population to death to fund amenities they have don’t use and will not use because they are cannot have three square meals per day”, he wrote.
