According to an MCA from the county, the governor of the county Hon Wavinya Ndeti said that Ksh10 Million had been allocated for the bridge but nothing has been done so far.
As seen by this writer in a video shared on the internet, the existing structure is broken with the concrete on the floor of the small valley.
The MCA said that even engineers had been called to asses the situation but no one has ever come back to work on it.
From the video one can easily tell that no reinforcement had been used to construct the bridge which led to its collapse.
Poor drainage could have also led to its collapse as water can be seen flowing all over it.
Kenyans have criticized the governor for turning a blind eye on the bridge yet it is crucial for the locals.
It connects to places and cars can’t even move across when there is an emergency.
