Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has spoken out about the state of the Azimio la Umoja coalition, revealing the exact moment he believes it ceased to exist.

Speaking during the Umoja Summit Party’s Annual Delegates Convention in Nairobi, Kalonzo stated that Azimio ended when Raila Odinga, its leader, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Kalonzo made these remarks while attending the event at the New Diamond Plaza in Highridge, where the Umoja Summit Party was officially rebranded to the Democratic National Alliance (DNA).

He used the occasion to clarify his position regarding Raila Odinga and their political differences. Kalonzo was quick to emphasize that he harbors no personal grudges against Raila. He stated that he will not attack Raila, his long time friend, arguing that it is not his culture to do so.

“The day Raila signed the MoU with UDA was the end of the Azimio coalition,” Kalonzo declared.

“I will not attack Raila because that’s not in my DNA,” he said.
