People in Embu Town were rude and disrespectful to Geoffrey Ruku, the MP for Mbeere North. It all started when Ruku tried to interrupt a meeting that Morara Kerabo had set up at a public gathering.
Eventually, the MP is compelled to depart the scene after being heckled in a 32-second video clip that has been extensively circulated on social media.
A user going by the handle @omwambaKE uploaded the video, which shows a huge gathering in what seems like a cityscape.
There were a lot of people in yellow, which could have been a sign of support for a certain political group. Residents were outspoken in their disapproval of Ruku’s activities, creating a tense atmosphere.
According to eyewitnesses, the audience reacted violently when the MP tried to interrupt the gathering.
As Ruku attempted to speak to the crowd, cries and boos rang out; yet, the locals’ opposition remained steadfast. Ruku fled the scene in a flash as the situation grew worse.
