A throwback photo of Rev. Kathy Kiuna viewing the body of her father, accompanied by her late husband, Bishop Allan Kiuna, has emerged.In the now viral photo, the late Bishop Allan is seen consoling Kathy as she views her father’s body.
Kathy captioned the photo, “Marriage is not just for good times but also for hard, tough times. As I had the last look at the first man I ever loved, my dad, my husband held me close all through and I cried so hard on his shoulders.”
She continued, “Before that, it was his dad; after my dad, it was his mum, and I was the shoulder he cried on. For better or for worse came so alive.
Marriage has seasons just like weather does, and each season has lessons. When you learn the lessons, you get stronger and better.”
The photo resurfaces hours after The man of God was laid to rest at JCC Paradise Thindigua in Kiambu County on Wednesday, July 17.
After his burial service, Allan’s remains were taken to his final resting place, and when his casket was lowered into the grave, his wife, Kathy, could not hold back her tears.
The mother of three wept and was seen being comforted by her spiritual mum, Reverend Teresia Wairimu.
Reverend Kathy honoured her husband in a special way moments before he was laid to rest. The JCC co-founder sweetly sang the famous gospel hit, One Day at a Time, while standing beside her spiritual mum, Wairimu.She fondly remembered the years they spent together, professing her love for him.
