The Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) has been ordered by Court to suspend the ongoing strike.
In a ruling issued on Wednesday 17, the Labour Court has demanded that all doctors of different cadres should return to their respective work places to handle emergencies calling for their attention.

The doctors’ strike is subject to the government’s reluctance to pay intern medics a whooping Ksh 206 000 per month as demanded by the union’s leaders.
Further, the Court informed that the work formula between the State and the medics will be reached within the next 30 days.
Earlier, the medics had issued a firm stance that they’ll not relent until their demands are met. With the state now seeking for consensus, it’s a matter of time before Dr Abidan informs of the next move.
The Court order comes just moments after President Ruto affirmed that there’s no enough money to pay the demanded doctors’ wages.
