She is none other than Mwanaisha Chidzuga. She is a Kenyan Swahili journalist with years of experience in the industry. The well-spoken lady grew up in the Coastal region of Kenya. Mwanaisha is the wife of the current senator of Tana River county, lawyer Danson Mungatana who rose to limelight yesterday as Pokomo elder who was lectured live on tv by Nairobi county Senator, Edwin Sifuna. The couple are blessed with four children.
The former student of Kenya High School was the first local girl to enroll in a national school.She graduated from Moi University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Public Relations.Mwanaisha began her professional career as a news reporter and DJ at Pwani FM. After bringing a friend to the interview and being instructed to try out as well, she happened to get the job.After that, the Swahili reporter was hired by Kenya Broadcasting Corporation station Idhaa ya Kiswahili.
The astute reporter later joined KTN, a division of Standard Media Group, where she excelled as an anchor before being let go. Later on, she started working as a Swahili news anchor for K24. Regretfully, in late 2019, Mediamax deemed her superfluous, and she was among over a hundred employees let go. K24 wasn’t a full-time work, therefore its effects weren’t significant enough to push her to resign. She owns three restaurants and works as a caterer full-time. This year, she is paying her way into the media industry at TV 47. She unsuccessfully sought the seat of MP for the Matuga constituency in the general election of 2022. Mwanaisha has been appointed by President Ruto as the deputy government spokesperson, with Isaac Mwaura as the government spokesperson
