Kenya’s Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has finally broken silence on the high cost of products in the country.
Addressing via press statement dated today the 14th day of November 2023, Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has finally unmasked the pivotal reason as to why the prices of commodities in the country are currently high.
The Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has disclosed that the high cost of products in the country is precipitated by the heinous war currently being witnessed in the altruistic and exemplary country of Ukraine.
The Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto has further intimated that the rising cost of products in the country as a result of the war in the aforementioned country has been a contributory factor to the high cost of living currently being witnessed in the country.
“The war currently ongoing in Ukraine has created a difficult situation in the entire region. As a result of the war, the cost of products has increased exponentially and has significantly contributed to a higher cost of living,” Head of State His Excellency Dr William Samoei Ruto divulged.
The president’s remarks come at a time when Kenyan are waiting with a bated breathe for the fuel pricing review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) with the pivotal question being whether the price of fuel will increase, decrease or remain constant.
