Speaking today in Mombasa County, Chelugui has contended that Governor Abdui Swamad is ready and willing to enroll in the ruling party UDA, but the Azimio chief, who is the architect of the ODM, has overtaken him to the extent that he cannot make a further measure from the coalition.
In a statement, Chelugui told the DP Rigathi Gachagua that they will not permit Raila to move on with the blackmail on the members who are in the ODM, telling the second in command that they need to step in quickly and stop Raila from putting coercion to the members of the ODM.
“That we abstain, we will not just sit and watch as Raila move on to overcome the leaders who are willing to join the UDA which is the only powerful coalition in the country and I’m telling this as DP so you step in this matter and stop Raila from what he is committing to our outlook components,” Chelugui said.
