The Saba Saba demonstration has kicked off in a high manner with protestors already taking to the streets to show their frustrations towards the Kenya kwanza alliance government.

However, in thika road, reports from Seth Olale are saying that the protestors have already taken to the road to demand for change.

Police have dispersed youth from Mathare who had blocked the Thika Road service lane and were attacking motorists.

It was reported that the former Governor was being detained at Nyahururu Police Station where the officers were to process him in readiness for a possible charge.

While doing this, the protestors are said to be throwing stones at moving vehicles on the road forcing them to speed up in the rains to avoid being destroyed or the passengers being hit by the stones.

The Friday, July 8 rally is expected to culminate in nationwide protests to pressure President William Ruto’s government to repeal some sections of the Finance Act 2023.

In Kibera, things looks normal as people are moving about doing their normal businesses in the area which is like azimio la umoja movement stronghold in Nairobi.

Police dispersed the youth who had blocked traffic and attacked motorists on Thika Road.

In Kamukunji Grounds where the main part of event will be held later today, the podium is already enacted and the ground looks good to accommodate people.

According to reports from citizen television journalist Seth Olale from various parts of Nairobi county, the protest has already started taking shape.
